Random Adventure started back in 2016 as nothing else like this existed, Dan saw that Markus Stitz had cycled around the world on a single speed and he wanted to hear his story, since nobody else put this on Dan took it upon himself to make this happen. Following Markus we’ve booked; Hans Rey, Graeme Obree, Kajsa Tylen, Lee Cragie, Jenny Graham, Ed Pratt, Charlie Kelly and many more.
We now put on possibly the hardest endurance road event in the north west, still put on talks and offer many other events and services.
The Team
Founder; Daniel Jones

So, Dan, quick introduction, started mountain biking over 24 years ago on a rigid red GT timberline, moved on to a road bike in his mid teens on a silver steel Peugot and cycled with Bolton Clarion. Studied sound engineering at Manchester SSR became an in house sound engineer at the New Continental for a decade alongside working freelance as a sound engineer, wedding DJ and in the NHS.
During his time running Random Adventure Dan has become apart of the midweek madness MTB series, started Local Bike Shop Day (which earned himself and Deryck Jones of Modesto Works a Bikebiz award nomination for cycling advocacy) and put on many events and partnerships including becoming a partner with Cafe Network.
Dan has now left the NHS after 16 years on the front line and is working full time in the cycling industry whilst putting on events, gigs and creating media.
Whilst this is very much a solo effort on the whole with the brainchild ideas coming thick and fast, this can’t happen alone; Dan has staff, venues and companies helping support the logistics involved in putting on talks, events, races and other events all year round.
