Let’s take the hell of the north west format, ignore the format and make a bonkers off road endurance event with it’s own identity. How did I do this? Well I wanted a long event, however, I also wanted to give mountain bikers freedom to make their own choices, work within their own limits and create their own adventure whilst having a mandatory challenge, sounds simple, it’s taken me 2 years to figure this out:
The start:
The start will begin just down from Preston City Centre at a pub, The New Continental, from there there will be a mandatory route to follow:
Checkpoints
From there on the route will be mandatory checkpoints in this order:
Ribblehead Viaduct
Tan Hill Pub
High Cup Nick
Hellvelyn
Honnister Pass Summit
Wasdale Head
Walna Scar Rd Summit
New Continental
There may be a mandatory finishers route post Walna Scar Road, but I haven’t decided.
